Hello, world!
My name is Kate I. Foley. I am
a sixteen-year-old author, blogger, homeschooler,
daydreamer, and eternal optimist. This is the first ever post of my super-secret-special-summer project, "Project Smile More."

That's me. |
I've been working since July of 2016 to get this blog up and running, as well as various social media sites to go with it. It's been hard, frustrating work (graphic design and blog coding isn't quick), but now that it's finally finished, I couldn't be happier at how everything has turned out.
What is Project Smile More?
About Project Smile More
Every day we're surrounded by anger, hatred, grief, and sadness. We see
it in news headlines, on social media, at work, and even with our
friends and family. It's hard to recover from a bad day or feel like we
can smile after all of that negativity.
Our mission is to help you smile more.
You, reading this on your computer. You, scrolling through on your phone. You, seeing this on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr.
We here at "Project Smile More" intend to keep the world smiling through
hard times with random acts of kindness and simple gestures of love and
community. If you have a story to tell about a random act you gave or
received, we want to hear it. We hope people continue to donate to their
favorite charities and brighten someone's day.
Feel free to explore this website as well as our social media pages.
Dive into whatever makes you happy. We recognize that some days it's
hard to stay positive and sometimes even impossible, but we hope we can
help in some infinitesimal way.
Keep your spirits high. Keep smiling.
I can't wait to get to know all of you!
-Kate:)

ReplyDeleteThis is possibly the best secret anyone has ever kept ever.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lara! :) It was pretty difficult keeping this to myself, but the reactions I've gotten in response to the project have been worth it.
